Mode of Transportation diagram v2

Description: This diagram explains the most common form of transportation that Uptown residents use to get to work. As seen in the diagram, majority of the population uses transit to get to work. A large portion of the population also drives to work. There are a very low amount of residents who walk, bike, or carpool. Very few have other modes of transportation.

Significance: The diagram is important because it shows how the neighborhood has well developed public transportation that is accessible to the commuters. There are also accessible streets as well as Lake Shore Drive that makes the driving commute smoother.

Description: This map explains the site’s proximity, in terms of walking time, to basic needs such as churches, grocery stores, hospitals, and schools. It shows the locations of the amenities in a 5, 10 15 and 20 minute time radius.

Significance: This proximity map is significant because it demonstrates how it is located in a well situated area. All of the basic needs are located within the 20 minute walking radius, and some amenities can even be found within the 5 minute radius.
