    There’s a lot here so I may be missing some key parts in this response. But taking this as brainstorming, my first thought is that for Friday you should revisit and take a first pass at editing and developing a few selected ideas. (You can always come back to find more.)
    I see that you’ve identified that Uptown is predominantly 20-40, more white than other, and that there are new buildings going in “high end” to me means targeting that same demographic although you could investigate that. So per your 2nd idea: do you want to also target this demographic or provide something for a different demographic of residents?
    As an aside, I’m not sure if a hostel or hotel would count as the shared program or a form of a residential program, but certainly interesting to discuss.
    I’m seeing two major thread in your choices of precedents:
    1. Star Apartments and the BIG/other program and stacking diagrams. I think you know and like Star Apartments so I’m leading with that idea, that there are different realms of public-ness and ways that program can be clustered in those realms. But also there are ways that programs can overlap beyond a grouping.
    2. The Highline (that’s a really informative diagram about circulation and gathering as a function of speed) and some of your investigations with staples, which to me are about movement through space and where you stop and where you keep going.
    My thought is to see if you can take both of these general precedent models and try to make a diagram for your building off of it.
    I also like the green and purple diagrams of what I’ll call sharing techniques. Even without having exactly identified your shred programs or even how your residential program works can you tke a couple of the sharing verbs you like best and draw larger and more complex diagrams? Use them to organize more programs- ie 10 residential units that are “woven” together (as opposed to laminated) and also a “large” and “small” shared program?
    You also mentioned sustainability, connecting neighborhood and culture. Does any of that suggest to you a certain approach to focusing on residents and shared program?
