Phase 3

As my first material I used straws. I decided to make triangles and overlap one triangle with another by slightly turning the angle of the one above. By turning the triangles, they started creating a stair way going upwards on the outside and downwards on the inside. This allows the people to climb up form the outside and climb down in the space in the middle which is laminated by the triangles.

I used scraps from my previous project (phase 2) as the second material. The scraps were in L shape and my concept was to place the shape such as one L starts from the other one to form weaving in the 6×6 that was provided. As I started placing the L shaped pieces they started creating spaces on their own.

Earbuds were my third material. They are arranged in such a way that they create a space for people to sit and have chat. The increasing height lets people sit on different levels.
