Purpose of the Project : Find, gather and use everyday “found” object to creatively rethink “shared” concepts.
Found Objects: Heart Shaped Cheerios , GoldFish Crackers, Clothespins.
Found Shared Verbs: Weave, Mix, Overlap, Gather.
Weave

In the goldfish crackers model I was working with the weaving shared concept. The overall shape creates the circulation that weaves around. Moreover, my concept was to create a space where the person will decide by her/himself how she/he wants to use it as each curve of the object has it’s own unique purpose.
Overlap + Mix

In the heard shaped cheerios model my shared words are overlap and mix. I pick mix because there is a mix of different programs throughout the model. There isn’t a level where it is just one program, the different programs of (seating, laying down, walking, exploring ) are all mixed around with each other. Also, there is an overlap because of the way how the walking area is overlaped with the resting spaces. Furthermore, this concept of mixing and overlapping the programs together gives people the opportunity to communicate with each other.
Gather

In the clothespins model my shared word is gather. It is gather because the cloth pins structure creates a space that navigates the direction in which a person has to seat and at the same time it is kind off enclosed. In that way the concept of gathering where people are forced to speak with one another can be highly readable because of the space that is created.
Study Process
Goldfish Model Process : In my study models I was trying to find a way to clue the crackers together. The logical solution was to attach crackers by tails and in that way I was getting arches. Those arches created a space that weaved around. In that way I was able to establish the concept of weaving.
Cheerios Model Process : In my study models I used two different shapes of this material: the heart shaped cheerios and the circled ones. I ended up with using the heart shaped ones. I was connecting and stacking the pieces in a way that the resting, walking and exploring areas were created. These solution led me to the conclusion of the mix and overlap concepts.
Clothespins Model Process: In my studies I had a strong idea that I need to split clothespins apart and then work with all parts separately. By doing so I ended up with an arched enclosed surface that navigates the facing direction. In that way I was able to establish a concept of gathering.
