Phase 2 Review: Case Study Studied

Weave: The circulation for mirador goes in and out and throw spaces in the building as shown in the concept model.
Intersect: Habitat 57 form is a great example of this, it’s composted of interlocking boxes that move, shift and rotate around as it goes higher.
Bundle: Torres Blancas form is shaped based on a grouping of central pillars which, influence the building’s floor plans and organic façade.
Mix: The mix program of via 57th west shown in the concept model demonstrates how a mix sharing space can work in a building.
Marge: The form and program of the building shows how the architect combined the private space (the towers) with the valley like public space.
Gather: The building acts as a public space for the community and brings people together in the building by creating a shared outdoor space.
Laminate: Due to the repetitive nature of the balconies on the building it creates a sense of layers in the building’s façade.
Overlap: The marina city building is organized by putting different programs on top of another to create a dense space of both public and private functions in the same building
Bind: The community space in the middle of the building brings together the surrounding structure by serving as a public space for the building complex.
Blend: Due to the nature of the design the private space transitions into a public sky deck which everyone in the floor uses as public space.
