Bundle: This building is an example of bundling because it creates a central space and transforms into a vertical community. The concept was to create “bundle” of houses vertically with a rectangular void in the center for gathering.

Bind: This is an example of bind because the wrapping terraces connects all of the units on one floor so that people living in one unit can easily access the balcony of another unit.

Mix: This building mixes programs by creating a courtyard and a skyscraper into one. By doing this, they create a view to the Hudson river for each unit while also having a central community space

Blend: Creating a clear floor at the ground level (or shikki) as an extension of a patio blends one unit into the other as you cans see through each unit, blending the spaces together into one community.

Weave: This building contains balconies that jut out from one direction to another in an alternating pattern, almost “weaving” them together, giving each unit the ability to see directly into the other balcony.

Intersect: The modular units in this building intersect each other and are offset so that each balcony is different yet has a view into the others and gives this a sense of privacy in a unit but also creating aa community.

Gather: The cylindrical shapes are gathered together to create spaces and also makes it so that the two top floors are a shared gathering space for those living here.

Merge: This building is all about creating a city within a building in which the people living here would not have to leave it, and all their necessities would be covered in this building. The architect merged a city within a living community by integrating all the essential programs for living.

Overlap: This building is an example of overlapping because each of the units overlap each other creating a shared hallway space in the center of the units. This also makes this building only have hallways every third floor.

Laminate: This building laminates modular units and offsets them to create a central void and connect them by views as well.
