The XS Tiny House was inspired by the collage which is in an intersection between 32nd Street and S union Ave. I found out that the windows are unique and beautiful over there and the focus of my project is the window and how private and public spaces are balanced. In each unit I divided public space into the first floor and the private space into the second floor, and also I placed a lot of windows, especially large window into the first floor, so that people who lives on the first floor is easy to know what is going on outside. I used grid as the circulation for my aggregation because I want to create a community space in the center and each side of path (community space) will aline straight so that each unit can get same amount of sunlight at the same time. In the outer side of the unit, because it arounds with long window, in order to keep some private, I placed threes between each unit to block view. I also placed some bush between two near unit to divided them into separate spaces. Three important aspects of my design are the aspect (shape) of the unit, the shape of big window on the first floor, and the different shape of the first and the second floor.
