Phase 5: Nathaniel Staniak

Using design features in functional ways
Separation of spaces through elevation changes and size
Creating a gradient of privacy, not necessarily through individual “rooms”
Maximizing light and careful choice of fenestration
Avoiding conventions- the pros and cons
Design works in harmony toward a couple common goals. From low energy usage, materials, and designing for a bit more efficiency, the house strays away from common commercial practices. (Could have just built a big gas heated McMansion!)
