- The building is focused on the underground space.
- The design is providing a space for fun and structural reinforcement by introducing a slope inside.
- Entire building is a skin.
- The design is inspired deeply from Japanese culture; the building resembles a Japanese lantern at night and is named after a popular Japanese symbolism “Lucky Drop”.
- It is an example of “form follows function”.
- The floor material is expanded metal which lets sunlight fall deeper underground and provides ventilation in the entire building.
- The over-ground section features skin-like external walls with added transparency letting sunlight permeate the entire building.
- While private area is upstairs, main living is focused in the basement.
- The shape of the building is formed by the layered frames, covered by the skin.
