2D Collage and 3D Collage
At the intersection at 33rd and Princeton, what caught my eye were the differences between what lies north, and what lies south of the area. If you look through a certain alley, you can catch a glimpse of the Chicago skyline which represents a busy, urban space that contrasts with the neighborhood of Bridgeport. If you look south you will see Armor Square Park, as well as the White Sox Field. I decided to represent this contrast of north and south in my collage. Different aspects of each area, like distinct shapes, how compact and dense the spaces are, and the scale of the masses were all considered and represented in both collages.
