“Shield” Shelter
For our neighborhood, we designed a shelter that symbolizes protection against gun violence. The outside of the shelter is rigid and bold while the interior is soft and circular. The contrast between the outside and inside is inspired by two hands connecting.
Fabric patches on the interior are for the community to engage with and they represent the culture of the area.
