The images on the left are the original images, and then the ones on the right are the edited versions.

The first image shows a elevation of our pavilion in the direction of entrance. I chose this image because I felt like it presented our pavilion well within the context of the site as well. I edited only a few things within the first image, and it’s most evident in the colour of the grass in the front area. I felt like it was a bit high exposure when the photo was taken which allowed for nice shadows but it left the grass overexposed.

The second image shows the deck area with the grass peaking through the gaps. I chose this image because it reflects how our design choices were made according to place. Envelope Pavilion’s purpose was to be a place of meditation in a public park. By having the deck shifting, it allowed us to create gaps where we could bring the environment inside. In the edited version I decided to black and white the environment outside the pavilion to highlight the inner experience.
