Envelope Pavilion Documentation

I included the images with my phase 1 post and have just realized that they are different assignments, so I am posting again. I hope this time it is right.

 

These first two images are the unedited photographs. I wanted to chose photos that incorporated the site, because having the pavilion be located in a park with people and activity was important to our concept of creating a space for alone time, meditation, or reflection. I also wanted a photo of the base of the pavilion, where people would be siting, because having to sit on the ground and see earth coming up through the pavilion was important as well.

In the edited first image I decreased saturation of the background to divert focus from the people, building, and trees, and onto the model. I cropped the second image so it was lined up straightly. I didn’t want to de-saturate the grass in this image because it doesn’t distract from the model, and it is important to see it peak through the deck of the pavilion.
