Phase 1b : John Mulvey

I chose to photograph the model in a field because it is representative of the site. The only way in which I edited the photo was a smooth gradient blur that starts in the foreground and blurs as it reaches the background. This puts a emphasis on the model, while still being able to understand the environmental context around it.
In this photo, I placed the model in front of the side of Crown Hall in order to get a uniform background. This is a slightly difference angle of the model, showing more of the “interior” space, but I used the same technique with the gradient blur to emphasize the model.
